Rendered in WebGL
This 3D Kidney model was built using raw data from a CT Scan. The first step is to segment the kidneys from the rest of the scan to create a base mesh of the anatomy.
Clean up the Mesh
Next the Kidney mesh is brought into a program like ZBrush where the basic mesh is reconstructed, and any missing anatomy, such as the ureters, are added to the model. Here simpler geometry is built.
With a clean mesh in place, detail is sculpted onto the kidneys, and a texture painted on to the surface.
